I know what you download

Most of us, if not all, know what Torrent is.

When you hear the word “torrent”, it usually refers to a file (computer file) that contains some information. A torrent file usually comes with the extension .torrent. That file does not contain the actual contents.

This information will then be used by a BitTorrent software such as uTorrent, Transmission or BitTorrent for the “real” distribution — which essentially allows for users to easily download torrent files to their personal computers.

Downloading torrents can be dangerous due to the fact that other peers will be able to see IP address of your connection. Lots of production and record companies hire people to go in and report all these IP addresses being found downloading torrents so that they can be passed along to ISPs. The ISPs will then liaise with law enforcement agencies to prevent the file from being downloaded further, which may include incarcerating the operators or users.

This website provides in public the downloads of the torrent files, has stats and more interestingly, provides you the names of the downloaded torrents for selected IP address. YES! You can see what you downloaded by typing your IP address.

As excepted, the most of downloads are games, then in the 2nd place are movies and in the 3rd place are software. Fortunately for some or not but you also can see in stats and in download lists the pornographic files.

They provide to developers the APIs which can be helpful to build the software. The API also provides information about child porn.
