Sometimes you just can’t find the time to hit the gym but you still want to do a workout

I love working out and ever since it became a habit for me, it’s something that I have to do on an almost daily basis, especially working out in the gym. I love weights more than I do cardio and even if I were to do cardio, I prefer to do it in the gym where I can use the treadmill or the stationary/exercise bike.

But there are just times when I don’t have access to a gym or can’t find the time to go to the gym. There are times where going to the gym is literally impossible to do but I still want to do a workout.

I’m sure there are many of you who have been in the same boat as me before.

So, what’s the next best thing that we can do?

Easy.

We make do with what we have and improvise.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last 2 years of my fitness journey, it’s that you really can’t give an excuse of not working out just because you don’t have access to a gym.

You can literally exercise anywhere and there are plenty of exercises that you can do, which doesn’t require a gym or pieces of equipment.

These 6 exercises are simple to do and can literally be done anywhere, be it in the comfort of your own home or even at the office — which I’ve done before after office hours to the amusement of my colleagues.

It’s easy, don’t require any equipment and gives you a proper workout.

I’ll be honest, what’s an exercise list without push-ups in it? This would be the very first exercise that I was introduced to when I was younger. It was also one of the hardest ones that I could never do well enough.

But having been in my school’s army cadet group for 5 years (from the age of 13 to 17), it was our go-to exercise for warmups as well as punishments.

Over time, it became something that I not only got good at doing but also actually really enjoy doing.
